Non-Executive Chairman

Mr O’Dwyer, a chartered accountant has been a Director of Metal Storm Limited since 1998. He is the Executive Chairman of Backwell Lombard Capital and a past chairman of BDO Kendalls, Chartered Accountants, where he was a partner for 27 years until his retirement in June 2005. Mr O’Dwyer served as Executive Chairman of the company for a short period in 2006. Prior to that he was a member of the Audit and Finance Committees of the Company. Mr O’Dwyer is a Director of Bendigo Bank Limited and was previously a Director and Chairman of Brumby’s Bakeries Holdings Limited, MFS Limited and Break Free Limited.

Mr O’Dwyer has been executive Chairman since 28 April 2006 and non-executive Chairman since 19 February 2007.

Mr. Nicholls was appointed a Director of Metal Storm in September 2006 pursuant to an agreement with Harmony Capital Partners Pte Limited, in connection with the Renounceable Rights Offer conducted in July 2006. 

He has extensive experience in the Australian and international business communities with start-up and established companies, having held senior management positions and directorships for several Australian and international companies in the manufacturing, distribution, trading and merchant banking industries. He is a director of Brandrill Limited and Nylex Limited, each of whom is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

He has extensive experience in multicultural environments as Chief Executive and as a Non Executive Director being continuously resident in Asia for 30 years prior to returning to Australia during the late 1990s.

Non-Executive Director

Mr Trevor Tappenden was appointed a Director of Metal Storm Ltd in July 2008.  He holds a range of directorships including Bionomics Ltd, RMIT University, Dairy Food Safety Victoria, VitsLanguagelink, and Heide Museum of Modern Art where he is the Chairman.  He has extensive experience in chairing and advising Audit and Risk Management committees, as well as being a Trustee of two private Charitable Foundations. 

He was a former Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Melbourne and held several other senior roles within that Firm including a member of the National Board of Partners and National Director of Entrepreneurial Services.  Trevor is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Non-Executive Director

Mr Henkel is a retired senior executive with extensive experience formulating strategic direction, overseeing corporate governance, devising high impact communications and managing client marketing, product development and the clients' brand experience for the Merrill Lynch Private Client Group. Mr Henkel created the schedule and events to communicate the agenda, policies and programs both at home and abroad for Presidents Nixon, Ford and Reagan. 

In retirement Mr Henkel has been a Consultant to Merrill Lynch and provided advise on proposed mergers.Since 2004 Mr Henkel has served as a replacement teacher in the English and Social Studies Departments and a lecturer in Business Math, Accounting and American politics and the Presidency at Burr Burton Academy. From 2006 to 2008 wrote a column on United States politics, government, economics and finance for the Henry Thornton Blog on Roy Morgans Web Site.
Since 2007 Mr Henkel has been a member of the Board of Directors of Metal Storm Incorporated and since 2010 Chairman of the Board Directors.
